The Team

SummerQAmp was founded in 2012 by Steve Martocci (Co-Founder of GroupMe), Musician Jon Bon Jovi, Former CTO of the White House Aneesh Chopra and Kevin Hagard (RetailMeNot).

Camp Interactive's year-round programs introduce inner-city, at-risk youth to the creative power of technology. They use cutting-edge tech education tools to provide students with the skills and opportunities they need to succeed, and instill the leadership qualities necessary to achieve their potentials.

CK-12 Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing access to high quality educational materials for K-12 students all over the world. They offer free high-quality, standards-aligned, open content in the STEM subjects.

The SummerQAmp online training curriculum was created by Kevin Haggard of SummerQAmp along with CK-12 and The Association for Software Testing. CK12 hosts the content in their online learning platform for our students.

Jobspring Partners and Workbridge Associates are part of the Motion Recruitment family of innovative recruitment companies with operations in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Chicago, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, and Orange County, CA. Together they specialize in technology hiring for both permanent and contract positions, and have made over 30,000 successful technology hires since 1989. Their recruitment teams pride themselves on staying conversant in the latest technical trends and developments. Their access to local hiring managers and technical talent is extensive, built on a relationship-first approach that emphasizes personal engagement and added search value as much as it does the nuts-and-bolts objective of filling or landing a job.

In the Bay Area, our partnership is with College Track, a national education nonprofit that empowers students from underserved communities to reach their dreams of a college degree. Last year College Track, with the help of, placed SummerQAmp interns at some of the nation’s top startups, such as Square and Airbnb.

QASymphony is made up from a hard workin’ team of software developers, designers, testers, IT professionals and information revolutionaries working non-stop to create simple, yet innovative products that will make the testing, tracking and replication of bugs in the software development process more enjoyable and seem like less of a painful root canal.

We’ve been developing and testing software for the past 20 years and we’ve seen how hard it is to create useful applications on-time and on-budget without all those annoying bugs and extended test cycles that make V1 of a software release more like a beta version.

We “geek-out” on software and have a strong desire to help testers and developers build better software and eliminate the headaches associated with tracking down, replicating and fixing bugs.

The Association for Software Testing (AST) is a professional non-profit association that is dedicated to advancing software testing and strives to build a testing community that views the role of testing as skilled, relevant, and essential to the production of faster, better, and less expensive software products. We value a scientific approach to developing and evaluating techniques, processes, and tools. We believe that a self-aware, self-critical attitude is essential to understanding and assessing the impact of new ideas on the practice of testing.
